Amazing Buttercream Frosting is truly wonderful and quick to make! I’m talking 5 minutes! My niece ate this as if it were a special entrée on a plate all by itself after she ate her cupcake, of course. This Food Network recipe for Quick Vanilla Buttercream Frosting, was tried on top of my Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake recipe for my nephew’s birthday cupcakes and it was a hit out of the park!
I’d definitely recommend this recipe as it can be flavored and tinted as desired for the occasion or your preference! It keeps its form perfectly! However, I would suggest keeping them cool, like in the refrigerator, until ready to serve if weather is warm or humid. Otherwise, you shouldn’t have to worry as they will be devoured quickly!
Amazing Buttercream Frosting
Ingredients
- 3 c confectioner's sugar
- 1 c butter, softened
- 1 t vanilla extract( or other flavorings) or 1/2 t mint
- 2 T heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Beat butter and sugar on low, then increase the speed to medium and beat for 3 minutes, stopping once to scrape the sides.
- Add the desired flavoring along with the whipping cream and beat on high for 2 minutes, scraping halfway and continuing for the additional minute.
- Pipe onto cupcakes using decorator tip 1M or spread. This frosted 21 cupcakes as shown in the picture above. For a layer cake you may want double the recipe or at least use 1-1/2 times the original ingredients.
