Apple Cider French Toast

Serves: 1 challah loaf
Ingredients
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • ¾ c. milk, slightly warmed
  • 2 T. butter, melted then cooled
  • 1 T. sugar
  • ¼ t. cinnamon
  • ⅛ t. nutmeg
  • ⅛ t. allspice
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • ¼ c. apple cider(or juice)
Instructions
  1. Combine warmed milk with beaten eggs, vanilla cider and cooled butter.
  2. Whisk sugar and spices together, then add the milk/egg mixture.
  3. Blend together well.
  4. Preheat griddle to 325-350 degrees.
  5. Wipe warmed griddle with a paper towel slightly coated with coconut or canola oil.
  6. Dip both sides of bread into mixture.
  7. Place on the griddle;flip when golden. Adjust heat if necessary.
  8. Serve warm or refrigerate/freeze for later use.
