Warm Spiced Apples

This is great on top of Apple Cider French Toast. pancakes or on top of some vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients
  • 2 Honeycrisp Apples, cored and sliced thinly
  • 2 T. butter
  • 2 T. dark brown sugar
  • ¾ c. apple cider/juice, divided (1/2 c. and ¼ c.)
  • ¼ t. cinnamon
  • ¼ t. nutmeg
  • ¼ t. allspice
  • 1 t. cornstarch
Instructions
  1. Core and slice each apple into 16 thin slices.
  2. Melt butter in medium skillet over low heat.
  3. Add sliced apples and stir frequently for 6-8 minutes until softened.
  4. Add in dark brown sugar and spices along with the additional cider blended with cornstarch. Stir until thickened.
