Whenever I make some homemade bread, I love to slice it and spread on some of this Garlic Butter Spread . Then, toast it to a light golden color to accompany a nice pasta meal! I use what I need and store the rest in a small sealed container in the fridge. To this, I added my homemade version of Italian Seasoning which I made out of necessity one night when I realized, a little too late, that I needed some for a recipe! Certainly, you could use store-bought seasoning, but I had dried several herbs I harvested over the summer. There’s a little pride in using what you grow, don’t you think?
The Mix:
Blend all of the ingredients once the butter has softened. This butter appears a bit more yellow than most because I used what I had in the fridge, Kerrygold butter which tends to be a little more yellow in appearance.
Here’s what’s left of my Crusty No-Knead Bread and my secret garlic ingredient from Better Than Bouillon.
Spread and Toast!
Making good use of the toasting feature on my air fryer, with a watchful eye, I created this flavorful, lightly crispy slice of garlic toast to accompany a serving of pasta with Dad’s Spaghetti Sauce . It was perfect…
….and delicious! I mean, I love both equally, but I couldn’t resist the toast!
