Cook pasta to al dente stage. Drain, rinse with cool water and set aside.
Heat milk in large glass measuring cup for 3-4 minutes in the microwave.
In a large sauce pan, or Dutch Oven, melt butter over medium heat.
Whisk in the flour. Continue to whisk for about 3 minutes.
Add in the warmed milk and whisk constantly until it coats the back of a wooden spoon.
Stir in one teaspoon of salt.
Remove pan from the heat source and blend in the cheese.
Gently stir in cooked macaroni until thoroughly coated.
Serve as is or bake in 350°F oven for about 20 minutes to golden the cheese.
