Warm Spiced Apples are a heavenly bite of fall with spices to warm the chill in the air. One bite on the top of some Apple Cider French Toast pancakes or even vanilla ice cream will delight your taste buds! Seriously, look at his picture! Why are you waiting? First wash, core and slice apples. Peeling them is an option. These were large Honeycrisp apples. Even though smaller ones are available, I chose the larger version.
Halve each of the slices.
Melt the butter over low heat and add the apples. Stir frequently until softened.
After adding in the sugar, spices and the remaining cider mixed with a bit of cornstarch, It will begin to thicken.
Look at the spices speckling these apples. The aroma is enticing! But, wait!
Place these on Apple Cider French Toast (or other thick slices of French toast) pancakes or even a topping for some vanilla ice cream! YUM!

- 2 Honeycrisp Apples, cored and sliced thinly
- 2 T. butter
- 2 T. dark brown sugar
- ¾ c. apple cider/juice, divided (1/2 c. and ¼ c.)
- ¼ t. cinnamon
- ¼ t. nutmeg
- ¼ t. allspice
- 1 t. cornstarch
- Core and slice each apple into 16 thin slices.
- Melt butter in medium skillet over low heat.
- Add sliced apples and stir frequently for 6-8 minutes until softened.
- Add in dark brown sugar and spices along with the additional cider blended with cornstarch. Stir until thickened.
